Nick was a University graduate with a dream of setting up his own business. However, with no money in the bank and rent to pay, the lure of a regular monthly income from his job in the city was too good to refuse. But after six years of commutes and spending far too long looking at a computer screen, enough was enough and the dream to do something on his own was ignited once again.
Along with his dad and brother, Nick started importing and distributing the prestigious French Champagne Duménil, bringing this award-winning brand to the English shores for the very first time. After months of evening and weekend work, Nick saw this business thrive with private sales ever-growing and increasing numbers of London bars taking on this fabulous fizz.
The work was tough but the rewards (unfortunately not always financially) were worth the late hours and weekend graft. There must be a way that he could expand the business, fulfill his dream and never step on the Northern line ever again. The idea of converting a classic vehicle into a mobile bar hire service was born.
Nick is lucky to have his supportive and fabulous fiancee Susie as his co-pourer, and despite having a full-time job as a physio for the NHS, she has 'willingly' dedicated evenings and weekends to help with his new venture.
Bumper Bars was formed.
